we put our 2 yr old boy into his big boy bed just before he was 2, i struggle to get to sleep under his blankets all night because he moves around so much in his sleep. At what age do they get it and sleep top to toe?

I think it all depends on the person/child, I have a 16 year old who cant sleep with a thick blanket, and even with a thin one its on the floor by morning. My 16 year old on the other hand its from ear the under his feet he is wrapped in that thing so tight he can hardly move. My 8 year old is a slight tosser keeps his arms and feet out. My daughter is 7 and i am always having to recover her. So no people are the same, just make sure he is warm, with socks and PJs and he will be fine.

I'm still all over the place in my thirties :) I was falling asleep with my head at one end and waking with it at the other when i was a teenager. I think the only reason i don't still do it is my husband is in the way! Apparently I do try and push him out of the way, steal all the covers, roll up in them, end up halfway down the bed. My five year old is the same way, if you are worried about him getting cold just get some footsie pyjamas.

My five year old is still all over the place in his sleep! There are times when he's uncovered but if he's not waking up because he's cold I don't worry about it, usually I have to pull the blankets away from him because he gets so sweaty.
