So i am a SAHM and i would like to know if my kids should still have there own chores besides cleaning there room and some other small things.
So my 9 year old has the chores of: Picking up his side of the room every night and his stuff around the house.. Also Doing dishes 2 times a week. and wiping the rim and outer bottom and floor of the toilet of the boys bathroom every night along with the seat.

My 6 year old has the chores of: Picking up her room. Also wiping seat of toilet. Picking up her stuff around the house. Also wiping the table after dinner.

My 3 year old has the chores of: Picking up his half of the room. Picking up his stuff around the house. Also sometimes he sweeps the kitchen because he likes too.

My 1 year old does not really have chores. Lol

So should I give them more or less chores, since I am a SAHM.??

It's great you have them doing regular chores, esp. taking care of their own space. Yes, you can give them more. Sometimes it may seem easier to do things yourself. I made that mistake and had to make up with some extra instruction time later on.

But now it's so good to know my kids can cook dinner, clean up, take care of farm animals, etc.

I think having them take responsibility for their own mess is a good thing.

Both my 4 yr old and 2 1/2 yr old are responsible for cleaning up their own toys both in the living area and in their rooms. They set and clear their own places at the table and put their own clothes in the wash at the end of the day.

As they get older I will definately give them more chores and responsibilities.

Next week we are getting guinea pigs and I will making them feed them every day and help with cleaning them out.

You are a SAHM, not a slave. Yes, they should have chores. It teaches responsibility and shows them how people work together to create a clean and happy environment.

Of course they should! Your child's chores are not about whether you stay at home or not, but about contributing as part of the family. As they get older, their responsibilities around the house will naturally increase.
