i am a stay at home mom, (Danyelle is 5 1/2 months old) before i was pregnant i worked in Child care...daycare and nanny. being around kids all day long, i thought it would be ok, I prefer not to bring my daughter to a daycare. but i was also wondering what do you do for fun? i get so cooped up, from her schedule, napping, eating and what not the only thing that i do to get out of the house is to go swimmming with her or go walking, both of which are free. anything you suggest that doesnt cost much, or nothing at all that may be fun for us to do.

I try once a week to pack a lunch and meet my husband in the park on his lunch hour. It gets us out of the house (Abigail is almost 5 months old), gives him a change of scenery from work, and I love watching him play with our daughter on the swings! Also, once every couple weeks I try to get together with a friend or relative for a walk in the park or ice cream or something cheap like that. Otherwise we do just take walks around the neighborhood or parks. I try to avoid the mall because I am too tempted to spend money!

I like going to the mall and walking around, almost always a different scenery with all the different people and I know my daughter enjoys it immensely, being around people that is.

You may also want to check out the website meetup.com . You can browse groups in your area for free and join for free but there is generally a small fee for whatever group you join after the first 30 days (this is a trial period to see if you like the group). I have found a wonderful group of other moms in my area through this site so I definitely recommend it.
