Do you have house rules? Do you enforce the rules and have punishment for breaking the rules and showing disrespect? Do you enforce the rules consistently with ALL the children? Teens go through a lot, and just because your other children didn't act out as much doesn't mean that your 14 y/o's behavior is out of the ordinary. Crying and back-talking sounds pretty normal. You may be more sensitive to it if "she's not your biological child". Maybe you're a little biased when it comes to this child.

So please explain a little of what she's doing and what you've tried as disciplinary action to correct the behavior.
