I'm a stay at home mom and I'm curious how much sun my son should be getting at 11 months and so on?
I go for walks during the week and also when I have to run errands.

For vitamin D and such people only 'need' 10-15 minutes a day (or something like that) of sun exposure. As long as he's protected from getting burned and/or overheated... it is fine to live your life outside as much as you need to, but make SURE he's protected. Sunburns are no fun at all... especially in babies... and every sunburn increases a person's chances of skin cancer.

I think the most important thing is not so much the amount of sun but making sure he is protected. Be sure to use a sunscreen with at least an SPF30 but SPF50 is better, a lose fitting hat with a brim to protect his eyes and make sure he is getting enough to drink to keep him hydrated. Also be sure to reply sunscreen as directed. When applying sunscreen don't forget about ears, face and part lines on the head, even with a hat.
