Table Food

My 12 month old daughter won't eat anything with any texture. Basically all she eats is stage 2 baby food (and lately only the fruit). If I put anything else in her mouth (even puffs of other easy disolvable foods), she spits them out and often throws up. Anybody else have problems like this and how did you get your kids to start eating real foods?

spitting them up is normal - while they get used to the tastes and textures. throwing up - I'm not sure about.

What does her pediatrician say?

Beyond that - give her time. My oldest was soooo independent. He wanted to do what the adults were doing all the time. Eating off a plate - no bowl for him!, eating with a fork or spoon, toddler grip type for him but he hated them, drinking out of a mug when I had my coffee, omg I had to put his formula or milk in there just to satisfy him.

Have you tried letting her feed herself? Let her watch you eat with nothing in front of her but her bottle/sippy cup. My oldest skipped the stage 2 stuff. He just wanted what the adults had. My two younger kids just followed their older siblings lead.
