just remember to get out of the sun as much as possible and to put sunblock everytime you get out of the water

Bring a big blanket for him to hang out on. He may or may not like the texture of the sand. They make sun resistant hats (SPF 50) and toddler sunglasses that strap on with velcro. They are both good to have. Also, take baby powder with you. Rubbing baby powder on them will cause the sand to brush right off. Water to wash off the sand is also a great idea. I remember sand being on my son's hands and I was so worried that he would rub his eyes and get sand in them. Have a great time!

I think you are doing just fine. I took my lil guy when he was like 3 months... we had a canopy and I put sun block on him.. we were good! We didn't get in the water he was too young I felt but I would at 7 months. Just reapply the sun block like you would yourself. Oh you may take a playpen or something if they are crawling to keep them in one place. You will have fun!!
