um...unless it was a super high burn risk day, and no sunscreen was applied, I don't see a problem with a kid being exposed to sunlight. We actually benefit from sunlight exposure, in that we do get some Vitamin D from it.
So, my question mirrors Jodi's: Do you mean she did this as a punishment?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. The teacher put your son in the sun for 30 minutes as punishment? Or just took the kids out in the sun for 30 minutes?
