My daughter is 17. What is the typical curfew for a 17 year old girl? We live in a town of 50,000, It is also a college town.

I don't do a particular curfew. I decide on a case by case basis. I need to know where my son is going and who he is with, and I take it from there. Weeknights, I want him home for dinner, especially because he has homework, but on occasion, I have been okay with him getting home later if he has something in particular on. Weekends/holidays, as I said, case-by-case. I find this a way of keeping tabs on things.

Personally, I would say no later than 9 or 10. There is no reason to be out later than that. It does depend on the day of the week and what they are doing and where they are.

My daughter is 12 and she will be allowed to stay over at her friend's until 11 on weekend. Mind you, this girl lives on a farm, there is no where to go. I know the mother quite well too. But if the boys are going to be in town running around with their friends in the streets, I wouldn't allow later than 10.
