Well i have a sister in law who is 17 years old and she choose to live with her father when the rest of us moved and he is a truck driver and us gone months at a time. She fell in to the wrong started skipping school. She moved to where we are she is in rolled in school and supposed to start school after Christmas break (1/04/16) she found out that she will only be getting 3 credits (past school and future school work completely different than each other ). School is really important to her and she is devastated and beating herself up for it all. What should she do or what can she do. And no summer school isnt gonna be able to fix it.

She may have to repeat. At 17, she needs to be responsible for her choices. I know she is young, but sometimes the lesson is harsh. She made the choice to not take school seriously, and now she is paying the price. She needs to just face it, accept that her choices have had an impact, and discuss with her school how she can turn it around, how she can get the additional credits she needs. I know where I live, if students miss out on credits in their last two years at school and can't achieve their certificate, they can go back for another semester just to make up those credits.
