the order of the teeth coming in

My son, 9 1/2 mths old, just got another tooth last night which now makes 4. The thing is that he has 3 on the bottom (the 2 middle & 1 on the right) and then next one that just came in is on the top side on the right and is not one of the middle teeth but the one next to it. Should I be worried? Do the teeth need to come in a certain way?

No worries! Each child is different, so I would really worry, if they seem to be coming in everywheres except the main front teeth then maybe just call your dentist and ask, more to ease your mind than anything. Enjoy this milestone! Before you know it he will be losing them!

Their is a typical pattern, but not all follow it. My son got bottom middle, top outside, bottom outside, bottom middle, and now top eye, no molars yet. They are suposed to come out in the same order that they came in.

My son had his come in differently. No need to fret or be concerned about it.

No, every baby gets different teeth at different times.. Nothing to worry about at all. My son is 17 month and has 9, almost 10, teeth. 2 in the front on the bottom, 4 in the front on the top, 2 molars (one on each side on the top) and just got the tooth on the bottom to the right of his front teeth, and the next will be on the left. It just depends, every baby is different.

My 8 month old is the same way. He got his 2 front lower teeth & then he got one of his teeth to the side of his upper front teeth (eye teeth?). I thought he looked like a little vampire (-; now one of his upper front teeth just broke thru & his other eye tooth. It's funny 'cause he has 3 teeth on on side & only one of the bottom on the other side. I wouldn't worry about it just seems sort of weird. My older son got his right in order on how the books say they usually come in so this was new to me too.

They generally jump in all over the place. My son got his bottom 2 first then top and it then jumped to all around. He had one eye tooth come in then moved to a few molars before coming back to the other eye tooth. The never come in pairs, meaning the same on each side. Nothing to worry about! :)

Have a google search to find a chart that shows the teeth eruption stages and ages. These are only a guide and has been put together as the average age and eruption cycle. At this stage, I would not be worried at all; just think in another 12ish months, he will have a mouth full of beauties for you to brush (or should I say struggle with to brush!!!)

In my opinion there is no need to worry. I don't think that it matters which ones come in first or the order that they come in. Our son got his two bottom teeth first where my sister's daughter got her top two first. It varies from baby to baby.

they are always going to come in different on every child my daughter has 2 on top 2 on bottom and one coming in on the left next to her middle teeth so ...........

I wouldn't worry, they can come in differently for everyone. My son got two on top, then one on the bottom for his first teeth. He now has the 4 front teeth (2 top and 2 bottom), and 3-4 molars (one is just about breaking through), and possibly another tooth.

One of my friends son got two front teeth then a few molars before getting more. The teeth will just come in when there ready.
