Contractions can feel like lower back pain, monthly cramps, or a localized pain in the belly area. Believe me, you will know when it is time to go to the hospital/birthing center.

Good luck, your little one will appear on her time frame, not yours.

It's pretty normal to contract for a while after having your membranes stripped. However, since they were irregular, and pretty much fizzled out, it's a fairly safe bet you are not in labor. Unless they are occurring every 5 minutes (or less) for more than an hour, and are increasing in intensity, there really isn't anything you need to do - other than go on with your normal daily activities. At this stage, labor could start today - or two weeks from now.
