Our daughter is 3 years old and right now we nurse her twice a day and we wanted to wean her off the breast. Are there any parents that nurse older children?

For us, I had stopped nursing my youngest twice a day by the time she was 3. However, nursing became a nighttime ritual until she was 4 and my son was 6. I never felt like I could share this with other moms, without being negatively judged.

Good for you Alex, nursing as long as you have. And Summer and Rachael, you are champs! Kelly

Hello

It is actually healthy for your daughter to nurse as long as possible. It will continue to be a bonding time for mother and daughter.

I nursed my daughter until 9 years old. Most of the time we were both nude and it was a good mother and daughter experience.

I have 4 children ages 9,12,13 and 16, I still nurse my 9 and 12 year olds regularly twice a day. My 13 year old nurses before bed and my oldest will nurse on weekends. Its everyones choice.
