I was thinking of some trucks he enjoys so he'd actually be interested for a little while in walking around the yard, and maybe looking for some larger eggs. I'm working on avoiding candy to just to not get him used to it this young. Any idea?

Just give him some toys, eggs with with nothing in them, they like to play with the eggs. Some fruit snacks, healthy snacks. Gerber fruit puffs, things like that.
