In addition to what Shawnn said, I would question why your doctor wants to induce you at 39 weeks. Are there medical issues?

Gestation, a NORMAL gestation, is 40 weeks. You are not in labour yet because your child is NOT ready to be born.

Patience is a virtue, and VERY NECESSARY as a parent. If you can't be patient now, how are you going to do it when your newborn is screaming, you're sleep deprived, and at your wit's end?

Its frustrating, you're tired of being 'fat', you're tired of packing an extra 20-30 lbs of weight in front. I get it! I was there! 44 weeks with my eldest, 42 weeks with my youngest. The BEST thing you can do right now is relax. Get the final touches on kiddo's room done. Repack your hospital bag. Get a little more cleaning done. Reorganize the baby's changing table...keep yourself busy and occupied, and soon you'll be welcoming the blessing you've been patiently waiting for
