what can i do to repel mosquitos and ants and what can i put on the bites for my toddler?

White vinegar will work on bites/stings. So will baking soda paste (just mix a little baking soda and water to make a paste) - calamine lotion can work as well.

Mosquitos are supposed to hate the scent of vanilla and ants are supposed to hate cinnamon. Spiders are supposed to hate the scent of lemon Pledge (I guess they use it in movies where they have spiders they want to go in a certain direction - they spray a path to either side and the spiders follow the non-pledge area in the middle).

They have a product out called After bite, works great... Spraying Listerine around the area where they are playing also works wonder.....
