I have a six year old girl, and she is a white lier and sometimes she lies a about things that can really hurt someone what do I do? I just don't understand why she thinks she has to lie. Her father and I broke up about 7 months ago and it has been hard for us. I just figured it was because of the break up. She doesn't see him at all right now due to his life of poor choices. I stumped she is in therapy once a week. I can't help but feel like I am doing something wrong. I am trying my best to keep her in a happy loving stable environment and I thought we have been doing great but over the last few weeks she has been acting out lying not listening and purposely doing the opposite in front of me. I thought it was just a attention thing. I don't know I just wish her father would of been a stand up man because doing this on my own is so really difficult. I am scared for her future if this continues. I hope it is just a faze.

Thank you Holly, she has a wonderful therapist that she see's once a week. I hope we can work on all of this. I should talk with her about this also. She has been seeing her for 3 months now so hopefully it will get better.

the best thing you can do for your daughter is to take her to get counseling, It is hard on a child of any age, and sometimes child that age doesn't know how to react and they act out in this way.
