Whats a good age for monetary allowance?

My daughter is 4.5... she is on a "sticker behavioral chart" at DayCare. It seems to be working very well (she had a hard time adjusting to the new surroundings as we relocated and she started new there) I usually reward her with a sm toy or happy meal (AKA small toy) at the end of the week if she gets all her stickers. IF she gets 2 stickers 3 out of 5 days we pick a day and do something special. I know every parent says there kiddo is the smartest, but A LOT of people ask her all the time what grade she is going into... my daughter hasn't even started school yet! : D (she is incredibly articulate) .. Anyways I was hoping for some advice... I would like to start teaching her about money.... you think a smarty pants 4 is to young?

Nope. You can start now. She's almost five and you can probably start giving her an allowance. It's always a good idea to teach your kids about money. My 3 year old can tell the change apart. So yeah, go for it!
