when can I do baby cereal in formula

my baby is going through formula like crazy and I want to know when I can put the little sprinkle of cereal in her bottle

I agree with Tanita. Cereal should never be put in a bottle. Cereal can be started by SPOON only between the ages of 4-6 months old. Some doctors now are recommending waiting until they are 6 months old to start any kind of solids. Before the age of 6 months breast milk or formula is the most important nutrient they need. Their tummies are not able to digest cereal yet as they are still developing. If a baby is wanting more milk they are usually going through a growth spurt and are needing that extra milk for proper growth and nutrition.

Never ! That's really old school advice and is now recommended not to do that. She may just be drinking more if she's going through a growth spurt. They hit many milestones, so they need the extra milk!
