When is a good time to take the baby out and meet people? Such as a playdate, or daycare.

I am going to be in college in a year or two and I was just wondering when was a good time for my baby to meet other people, and babies. Because, I was wanting to take to her to daycare with me sometimes.. But when would be a good age? She was born 4/20/12.

Since she was born a year ago, she can go to a daycare now. Most daycares that cater to babies start them at six weeks of age. Its good to get them involved with other kids at younger ages even though they may not get it that those other little things next to them are people too. It allows them to explore being around others and playing with more than just alone. Be careful when you look for a daycare or an individual to look after your child though. Ask a lot of questions. Check the place out. Take your child to the place and see how they react to the people in charge and that will give you an idea what to expect. Also, play dates are good as well. Just find other mothers with children of similar ages to yours and start setting up play times at parks, homes, and other venues. My kids were born three weeks after a friend's kids and they have known each other all their lives. They are great friends. The oldest two are 23 and the youngest three are 16 and 15.

My first 2 went to daycare when they were 6/7 months old. My 3rd I managed to stay home longer and she was 18 months when I went back to work.
I would suggest getting her into daycare even 1 day a week to get her used to being away from you and also exposing her to the germs from other children because if you go straight into daycare they will pick up every little sniffle going around and you will have to take days off to look after her.
