My baby is almost 6 weeks old. What have you found that will help babies sleep through the night. She is up every 3 hours.

This is still normal at this stage. most babies dont sleep through the night or up only once at night until they hit 14-16 pounds. Usually at 10-14 weeks of age. This has been my experience with my 4 children and most of my friends a families babies. Hang in there it will get better soon!

Sleeping through the night is a developmental milestone. Some babies do from the beginning, some don't until three or four years old. It's not something you can force if you're trying to be sensitive to your child.

My little man is now 10 months old. He didnt start sleeping trhough the night til he was about 4 months. Each baby is different.
For me it came down to routine. From about 3 motnhs onwards i only let him have 2 naps during the day and inbetween i did my best to keep him awake. Come night time he was buggered. For a week or so he still kept getting up at 12am 2am and 4am, I used controlled crying. Some have different views on this method. But it worked for me after that my little one slept full nights.
He now only have one nap each day and still sleeps full nights.

I hope this helped a little

I think routine is very helpful at this age! all 4 of my kids started to sllep 10-12 hours at 2mo old! we did the same thin EVERY night and thats what we do to this day and my oldest are 4 I have never had a hard time putting them down at night! good luck!

6 weeks you just have to leave it just wake up with her my son didnt start to sleep threw the night until he was 3 months old but it all really depends on you and how you teach them we taught our son at 3 months when he started eating cereal and we used the ferber method i suggest it to every mom new and old with a baby or helping with a grandbaby but it also depends on you some moms cant handle the ferber method because it does invole some crying but just wait a little while longer hon you will be ok
