When will my baby show interest in food?

My baby stopped taking a bottle at 3 months. He is now 6 months. Some doctors say he developed oral aversion due to colic. He swallowed fine from the times he did take the bottle. His bottle intake just slowly declined. He is diagnosed Failure to thrive and now is in the transitional process from a g-tube to mic-key button. He attempts pureed baby food and does swallow but would not survive on this alone. He is even learning to drink from a sippy cup as long as it isnt formula (apple juice cut with water). We have struggled with weight gain this entire time, should I try to wean him off so he will show more of an interest in oral foods/liquids? If so, how should I start? If not, when will he show interest?

Is it your physician's recommendation to wean him off the tube to more regular feedings?

I really hope the foods/drink that you are giving your 3 month old is approved by the doctor cause quite frankly your baby is way to young for what you are offering. Babies should be showing interest and be able to sit up unassisted with good head control before offering purees. These things you are offering could actually make colic worse. I am honestly shocked if your doctor encourages you to feed this young, especially juice.
