Where to nap?

At what age do I need to actually lay my baby in her crib for naps? She's 3 months and I usually just have her fall asleep in her bouncer and in my arms while feeding. She falls asleep on her own at night in her crib so she first have a problem with that but she doesn't fall asleep during the day in the crib cuz she never sleeps long for naps

I always put my son in his crib for naps, but I never kept the room quiet or dark like the nighttime. I actually intentionally put noise in the room, noisemaker, music, and i turned on the tv in a nearby room and had it loud...the reason I did that was because it was only myself and the baby at home and the house was naturally quiet, most places we went were not so I wanted him to be comfortable and content to sleep regardless of what was going on around him. It worked out well.

My daughter only ever slept in my arms, the sling, or sometimes the bouncer as a newborn. She also didn't have long naps until much older when she was mobile and physically tired. It's very common.

She started taking naps in her cot around this age. I just swaddled her and patted her off to sleep. But it didn't make her sleep any longer.

I usually put my bubs into bed from the start. Only because they were both good sleepers and were only up for really short periods at a time and slept for long periods. It really is a matter of whatever works I think.

She's just a cat napper some kids are until a bit older when they start having 2 naps a day or 1 nap.

If you get her use to napping in the crib now it will make it easier for when she is older, but really it doesn't matter where they nap as long as they are comfortable.

Whatever works best for you, your family, and your situation is fine. My girls as infants mostly napped in their bouncy seat or swing.... sometimes in the crib. Where ever they fell asleep was where they slept... except when nursed to sleep and that's when they were in their crib.

My son napped on me, in his bouncy seat, or where ever I had to lay him down at the time.... ;)

I always allowed my kids to sleep where ever they slept best for naps. Which for all three was the couch. I have never wasted my time or energy on nap training a child in their bedroom.
