Whiskey on Kids Gums?

You've probably heard about putting Whiskey on a babies gums while they are teething. Well today my 8 year old son lost one of his baby teeth and asked me to put Whiskey on his gums. I told him that I wasn't sure if it was ok and because of that I didn't feel comfortable doing that. He told me the school nurse instructed him to and I wasn't about to have another power struggle with him so I told him he could do it himself. Thoughts on this?

Definitely a troll. Asked about smoking weed around her baby too - whether the smoke would rise so it wouldn't affect the baby. Bored teenager.

My dearest trolling teen.....no. No parent would do that.
First, the Whisky on the Gums thing is really outdated. There are far better remedies now.
Second, that was only ever a remedy for relieving the pain associated with infants cutting their first teeth. Kids loosing baby teeth don't feel pain.

Seriously, you need to get out and do something productive. Learn a sport, take a class on something that interests you. You sound like one of those poor kids who get lost in youth and end up working at McDonalds and living on welfare for life because they don't know how to motivate themselves.....
