Why an I gaining so much weight!!!

I just recently got married in July and literally became a home body as well as a stay at home mom. I have three children who are six, two, and one year old. My husband works and thinks it is more cost efficient for me to stay home with the little ones rather than work low paying job and most of goes to a babysitter, lunch and gas. Well I have put on about 30 pounds in 3 1/2 months. Me and my girls go out and play and take walks, I have tried the Atkins diet, tried the barely eating thing, diet pills, NO RESULTS AT ALL. I now have a gym membership and have not seen any improvement yet but any suggestions, this is really stressing me out.

You might want to have your thyroid checked. Low thyroid production can cause unexplained weight gain.

That said, a lot of women gain weight when they start staying home with the kids. One reason is extra snacking and extra drinks. At work, we can only eat at lunch time, but at home, it is tempting to grab something for ourselves when we make the kids a snack (Kids need a lot more food than we do, but sahm's usually eat as much as their kids), or keep a drink (like soda or sweet tea or coffee) in our hand all day for a little energy boost. Those calories add up quick, and we don't feel like we've eaten anything!
Figure out how many calories you should be getting each day for your body type and physical activity levels, then make a note of EVERYTHING you eat for a week. You'll be surprised! Just doing that for a week will make you more aware of what you are putting into your body, and you will have a better hold on it.

Also, don't expect results too quickly and get disappointed if you don't see them. I don't know how long you've been going to the gym, but it can take up to a month to see real results. Just keep going and focus on cardio.
