
Why does my 3 year old daughter keep covering her ears? (she's also my quiet one)

Thanks I think I am going to get her a hearing test, because some times she says it's too loud when it's not even loud.

My son used to do this with loud noises when he was young, and complained that it *hurt*. I took him for tests and it turned out that the burst eardrum he had when he was younger had never healed and needed to be repaired. So take her to not only have her hearing tested, but also to have her ears checked for any damage.

Maybe she's covering her ears because something is too loud? Have you ever had her hearing tested? Could also be a sensory issue.
