Why is my breastfed baby refusing the bottle a 8 months?

Anyone have any ideas as to why my almost 8 month old infant son refused to take a bottle from certain people (like at Daycare, babysitters, MIL), but will NORMALLY take one from my husband when I am working (2nd shift part-time)? He only gets breastmilk-- no formula and is also pretty selective with solids too.

sometimes babies make associations with certain things and can be hard to break it so your son probably associates drinking his milk with only you and your hubby. For example: my older girl who is 3 knows that mummy is the one that reads her a bedtime story so when my hubby tries to, she will crack it. My youngest little girl is used to me feeding her most times (i'm a SAHM while my hubby works full time) so on the odd occassions that my hubby will try to feed her, she will play around until i take over. Maybe to make life easier for you, try and teach him to take hold of his own bottle and have him feed the bottle himself. Sometimes these associations need to be broken for our sanity but it might just take that little bit longer. If he continues to refuse, then maybe wait a while and just keep offering it to him. He will eventually get hungry and take it!! Good luck

He could just be missing you and your Mummy smell. Try giving these others something you've been wearing, a top or something that they can put over themselves that he can snuggle into while they're feeding him.
