With a small circumference (8P) and slightly delayed

Hi there! I have a daughter with a small circumference (8P) and she is slightly delayed in fine and gross motor skills. She has not rolled over yet and does not reach for any objects! (at 8 month) She is very content with lying on her back, sucking her thumb. But she loves kicking the piano board and her crib. And some good signs are she can sit alone without support and started to prop herself up with pushing her hands on the floor. She makes good eye contacts and smiles a lot.

At her 6 month check up, the doc said I really did not need to worry about her small head because it was growing at appropriate rate. (1 cm every month) But when the doc found out my daughter is slightly delayed this check up, she suddenly showed big concern :(

I'm going to see a pediatric neurologist in three weeks but I just can't stop worrying to death.I'm so worried if it is all related to her small head circumference or she is just a late bloomer.

Take no notice of this doctor. My daughter did not roll over at 8 months either or sit unaided until much older. She is a bright 3.5 year old who is already reading and is far cleverer than her peers of the same age. Get her checked out by all means but dont panic, these doctors have to tell you something to cover there own arse!

Whatever the problem, or lack thereof, you can handle it.
My daughter was nearly 4 months early, the doctor told me she'd be retarded, blind, have cereberal palsy, just trying to scare me. 17 years later, she is getting a free college education because her grades are incredible. She got 5 A's and a B.
Don't let doctors scare you, they may be right, but then again, they are just practicing.
