Worried and confused

Hi! Me and my husband have been trying to have a baby since last year. I stop using contraceptives last year in October and today there is still no sign of being pregnant. Do you all think that there could be a problem or is just a matter of time? Please help, I'm so worried!

It is not uncommon for it to take a year for a couple to conceive. If it has been a full year of active trying, go see a fertility specialist. Get your hubby's sperm checked first (easiest and cheapest) and then have your doctor evaluate your fertility. It is much easier to said than done to relax and not think about it when you want it so badly!

It could maybe be an issue of timing? I don't have an irregular cycle or anything, but I found that trying to get pregnant, I really had to make sure we were doing it on the "right" days. Once I figured out for sure exactly what those were, it was like, BOOM. And now I'm six weeks pregnant!

Also try to relax as others have said. My husband had a really hard time with performance anxiety, but only AFTER we decided to start trying, lol.

My friends tried for 2 years to get pregnant before they quit trying and started planning a trip to Europe.... that they didn't take because they got pregnant. lol

It's possible there is a problem preventing you from getting pregnant or it could just be one of those things. Generally I 'think' doctors tell you not to get checked out until it's been a year of trying... but it could be different depending on the doctors where you live.

Personally... my advice would be to relax and stop trying (yes, I know how hard that is when you desperately want to be pregnant) for a few more months and then if nothing happens... go ahead and get you both checked out. Good luck!

We cannot tell you if something is wrong. It might be time to visit the doctor and have fertility testing if they think you should. Good luck love!
