Would you do this for your child?

Its about saving money towards the wedding of your child or children. Would you do it? Is saving money towards college, starter fund, or something to benefit the children more important? In your words please.

I think that so many get married today for the wrong reasons and spend countless amounts of money to make it a perfect day. They do not relish the idea that there is more to marriage than that. They do not realize the work that both have to put into it and then they divorce later wondering why. A lot of Celebs jump partner to partner in a matter of days, months or a few years and its sends a foggy message to our young ones today. I would not save for a wedding for my kids. I have other worries than that to think about. THere is college, starter fund for life, and other things that take presidence over a wedding.

No, I won't be saving for weddings. I won't be contributing large sums of money to elaborate weddings, I didn't even have one of those myself, so forget it.

I also am not saving for a college fund. I have paid for myself to go through University over the years, and because of the way the system works here, you don't end up owing tens of thousands of dollars, so it is something the kids can work out for themselves at the time.

If anything, I am busy saving for my own retirement fund....:P
