Your child's Speech and Language

Did you know that by age four, children verbalize fluently with intent more than 60% of the time? if you feel your child is struggling, it would be prudent to consult a speech-language pathologist to find out more. There are many simple approaches to help a child along so they are ready for JK. Summer is a great time to observe your child during play and be proactive by jotting down your questions to ask your speech-language pathologist. We encourage parents to make an appointment for a consultation which typically includes diagnostics and some fun for the child to capture his/her language and articulation skills while parents observe and collaborate during the session. Personally I am always amazed at how fast parents understand what they can do to promote increased language skills in my sessions. I also discuss my observations on their child's literacy skills because this is when they start to bloom.
Enjoy the summer and have fun with your children.
