For my girls who were born in the spring and fall, we did bbq's in the yard, with games and give-aways. It lasted about 5 hours.

For my son, who is a winter baby, we took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese.....You get 4 hours, no clean-up, entertainment for the kids and for a reasonalbe price you can also feed the adults.

I think the baby food jars is a great idea, but instead of m&m's, maybe something like cheerios or animal crackers.

For one-year-olds it's hard to decide on party favors. We just bought some store bought favor kits. Another mom I had talked to about party planning made some baby food jars of pink m&ms, decorated them, and gave them away as favors.

we did in the afternoon after nap. We did from 2-4 and it worked out pretty well because shortly after the party she was ready for her second nap. We served hot dogs and hamburgers and grilled cheese.

I also want to serve food and was thinking 2 to 5, but just feel it's an awequard time to serve food.
