I have a 3 year old little girl, I have been working in an engineering company for the last year and going to school, this friday I am graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering and once I do they I will become a full time engineer. The thing is my husband really wants another baby and my daughter seems to be a little lonely and I think a brother or sister would be great for her. But I think timing is just wrong, because I am just starting on my new position. I also don't want my kids to be to far apart in age. I don't know what to do.

I would probably balance it out by waiting 3-6 months, so that by the time you need to go on maternity leave, you will have worked in the new position for at least 1 year. Then you can go on maternity leave and come back!

I only have one right now and everytime I think about having another, I think about how difficult the first year was for us. My husband works nights and I work fulltime so our lives are crazy. My sister-in-law has a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 month old and she feels like she's going to lose her mind. I would say if you have a solid marriage and you have everything pretty well in order, I'd say you have to go with your heart. But if you're not feeling secure in your job or in your marriage it's only going to cause more stress. Hope that helps and didn't confuse you even more :-)
