I am going back to work soon. I'm wondering how I am going to get all of these chores done when I'm exhausted from work. Plus, work out and spend time with my children. Any advice?

Thank you everyone for your help. Those are great ideas. I already feel better knowing that I am not the only one who finds this difficult. I will try those ideas and let you know how things worked out.

Ask for help from Dad once in awhile but always put your children before house hold chores as those can always be done but you loss of time with your children cannot be made up!

I am having trouble balancing everything myself. One tip I have is before you go grocery shopping plan a menu for the week; lunch lady style but have a couple of meals planned for "meltdown nights". Like a frozen casserole that you can toss in on the night you've had it with your boss and your little one is a grump. I also put the menu on the fridge for hubby to refer to so I don't get the dredded whats for dinner question.

Just remember that you are still just the one person. Don't try to be superwoman. It is very difficult to go back to work, but give yourself time to establish a routine that works for you and your family. Just don't neglect yourself - you can't be there for your children if you are exhausted...

always put your children first that is after work..even if its only for an hour before they go to bed...then when their sleeping its you time...you can get most everything done while their sleeping...mine wakes up around 3 in the morning when he goes to bed at 9 so between 9 and 3 am i get my cleaning and work out time and emails checked...then after he wakes up to be fed thats when we snuggle together so i can get some sleep then i wake up at 6 in the morning to get ready for work...other than that remember you do have babysitters...take advantage of that...when you get home from work see if they can give you an hour of you time to just relax hope this helps you
