Back to Work

I am the mother of three children ages 6 to 4 months. I have to return to work in 2 weeks and I am struggling with how I am going to get everyone out of the house and to where they need to be and make it to work on time. Any suggestions?

Hi, I would try to be as organised as possible and get everything ready the night before. Get up 20 minutes earlier then you need to so at least you can get yourself ready first, grab a hot drink and some breakfast! Good luck!!

Get as much done the night before that you can. Pack lunches, backpacks and diaper bags and place in the car if possible. Lay out everyones outfits, including yours, so that in the morning you can just get dressed and eat. A little trick I have learned to get kids out of a warm bed on a cold morning is to place their clothes in the dryer for a few minutes to warm them up. They have to hurry to get dressed before the clothes cool off, works like a charm! Make breakfast easy with cereal or oatmeal and some fruit or yogurt. Save the eggs, bacon and pancakes for the weekend when you have more time. Good luck!

I too have three children, ages 7, 4 and 5 weeks, and will be returning to work in 4 weeks. I am already stressing out about getting out of the house on time and how hectic our lives will be once I return, especially since my husband travels. Staying at home is not an option in our household, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
