I am thinking of starting my son on some puffs or cheerios at snack time, but do i give them with the bottle, before the bottle? and if so, now much??

My daughter loves puffs--they are like baby crack :~)  She has them at snack time with a sippy cup (I'm trying to introduce the cup), but she has had puffs since about 8 months and loves them.  I like puffs better than cheerios because they fall apart a little easier (she doesn't have teeth yet).

My daughter started on puffs around 8 months. I give them to her while she is sitting in a high chair while we are out to eat or at home. No bottle is needed. They don't have a lot of substance to them, I would not count them as a meal. They are great for teaching your baby hand and motor skills.

I think my daughter started eating those around 7-8 months. At first I didn't give them to her with a bottle or anything, but now she has an actual snack time and will get a drink with them. You'll know your son is ready when he expresses a need for more food in between meals. If he has a couple teeth he should be able to eat them pretty well. I'd start off with about hald a handful of cereal until he gets a over 1 or if you see he wants more.

how many months is your son? I started Connor @ 6 months but he really didn't get into them until about 8 months.  no bottle is needed, just whenever you feel like giving it to him.  I usually let him have some puffs after he wakes up from his morning nap and after dinner as a treat.

Good luck!
