Alrighty. I need help. Does anyone have any referals or advice on how to obtain child care while I search for a job? Most child care facilities that I've contacted requires me to have a job already. I don't have any family or friends that can assist. I'm going insane because I really want to get back to work. Please help...

Try a local college they might have an early childhood or education program and they may offer child care or have people that would be able to help out. Also check with the state employment agency they might have places set up to help out job seekers. If you belong to a church they may be able to offer some assistance. Good Luck.

I would say just check around and see if you can find someone that babysits out of their home. It would also be cheaper for you that way as well. Make them provide references for you to contact. My child stays with a babysitter at her home two days a week. The job I have I only needed a babysitter for two days so it was stupid for me to pay a daycare for 5 days. Hope this helps and good luck to you finding a sitter and a job!!
