I am a working mom, my husband works from home and keeps our 23 month old daughter, our 11 month old son goes to daycare. We are discussing putting our daughter back in daycare after the first of the year so that hubby can actually get some work done. I was thinking about maybe a nanny/housekeeper might be a better route to go, do any of you have any experience with this? Any ideas on how much nanny's charge, anything to help out?

We have a nanny that comes M-F from 8 to 5 PM and it is wonderful. We really didn't want to put our baby into daycare for personal reasons and this has worked out wonderfully. We found our nanny by posting job postings around the local University campus and also on their career website. This is a great way to get a responsible nanny that is cheaper than an older nanny you would find online. Hope it works out for you.

We've done daycare M,W,F mornings once our girls dropped their morning nap. This gave my husband 3 mornings a week when he could have a few hours to get some work done. Then another couple hours in the afternoon when they took their afternoon nap. This gave the kids some time with other kids, too.
