daycare transition for this working mom

Yadietorres - posted on 10/23/2018 ( 1 mom has responded )

My 2.5 old son is on his second day of daycare. His teacher expressed to me that he has not stopped crying since I left at 730am, may any mommas give me insight that there is light at the end of the tunnel. My husband and I both work and have no one family wise to help with the children. his sister is also attending and she is doing well. cries a little and stops. My heart breaks knowing my little boy is crying. 😢 any one here has had this experience? how long did the adjustment take? I cannot give up, please help, one anxious momma over here.

Sorry for the heartbreak with your son. Every child is different and responds differently to change and strangers. It will get better though. We have to make the hard choices and you are doing your best. Have you ever considered a nanny? My girls are grown and I am a Nanny. I see how the stress level is reduced with mom and kids when they do not have to get up so early and get out of the house, especially on days when they are tired or don’t feel well. Kids are secure in their own home with their own toys and a schedule that is flexible. Hang in there. This post is a bit late, so hopefully he is doing better.
