Does anyone else work night shifts?

We worked it out so that someone is always home. That means my husband and I have no time together. It also means that I get very little sleep some days.

I just wondered if we were the only family who works like this. Sometimes I feel alone.

I am happy with the work I do. And I get to see my kids since I am up before they get home from school.  But thank you for the offer.

I try to make time for a date night about once a month.  Usually dinner and a movie.  We have no family in the area to take the kids overnight, but we have had time alone when they go to friends.

I guess I do get lonely, especially since I am up by myself at nights on my nights off.  I can't switch back and forth to stay up during the days, it is too hard on my "old" body.

I used to work 12 and 24 hour shifts and rarely saw my kids or my husband. I know how you are feeling. I recently started with this direct sales company and I can now plan when I work and when I don't so I have gotten much relief from this. Not sure if you are looking for a change but I would be happy to tell you more about it. email me at and we can chat. In the mean time don't feel alone.

My husband works days and i  work nights. We never see each other.  here lately, once a month we plan a night out or my mom will take the kids all night. we usually end up sleeping before seven. You're not alone, just lonely.
