My husband and I are running our business, basically the whole day we are out and our baby is with his nanny. At night, I take care of our baby and stay up at times when he wakes up in the middle of the night just to spend time with him. Sometimes, i cant put him back to sleep and i feel so frustrated. is this normal? and i can also see that he is starting to cling more to his nanny than me. what can i do?

I tell ya, I have a set of older children that I wasn't able to spend a lot of time with because I was in the military. A few yeats after my divorce and I got out of the military, I had a suprise pregnancy with my partner and made the choice to leave work and stay at home. Life forced me back to work and shortly after my partner got laid off. Now my children, who used to think I was the greatest, have transfered that to their dad. It hurts a lot but I alway's make time for them. We hang out watching their favorite tv shows or movies, play video games. We've had a lot of good wrestling matches over the years.

I know your business is obviously very important to you and your family but could you not take a day or two a week and spend some quality time with your son. Your son will grow so fast as they all do and you'll be upset that you've missed so much. Unfortunatly he will cling to the nanny if thats who he spends most of his time with espicially as he is so young.

They are only young once! While it is important to run your business, it's more important to make sure your family is well taken care of... not just financially, but emotionally. You have to make time to be with the baby and together as a family.
