Hello to all of you working moms out there. The first thing you should know about me is that I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I tell you this because a mess or something out of place REALLY makes me go bananas! Anyways, there is a strategy I have found that helps to keep everything neat & tidy. First, make your bed in the morning, I make mine while I swish mouthwash in my mouth, it takes about 30-45 seconds (if you or your partner are not tossers or didn't "toss" the night before). If you make your bed everyday, it is an accomplishment...one less mess. My next strategy is to set the microwave timer for 15 minutes, there is an amazing amount of things that can get done in only 15 minutes, I can usually get a load of laundry in, clean the kitchen, surface wipe my bathroom sinks, & pick up anything that is in the wrong place. BEEP, BEEP,BEEP! Your done, go to work or have a cup of coffee. When you get home all of those little jobs are already done. I do the same thing that evening, 15 more minutes on the timer, a few more jobs done easy. You will be amazed how much you get done when you are racing the clock. If your house is already organized, it will become spotless, if you are somewhat more cluttered, it will take about 1 week of doing this and you will have a very tidy house. Good luck, I hope it works for you as it does for me, and remember only 15 minutes at a time...then relax there is alway tomorrow!

Hi all, I forgot to mention that it is important to understand that you are only one person. I read a lot of posts saying to get your kids & husband to help is the best way...many of us know that they don't always help, or maybe they are too young or no husband. So let yourself off the hook for only being able to do so much.
