I went back to work when my first was about 4 months. After I had our second I went back after about 3 months. Just as the other mother said working gives me piece of mind and keeps me sane, so it works very well for our family. Our first son started out in an in home day care, someone that was referred to be by some of my co-workers. It was really hard and I must admit, the first day I took him I ended up going back home and crying most of the day instead of going in to work. The next day I was fine, when I saw that he was being so well taken care of. I personally didn't feel comfortable putting him in an actual big daycare center at such a young age, with so many other kids of all ages running around regardless of whether they were split up or not. However, when he got a bit older I put him in a center which was more of a learning environment. Our second is pretty much following the same track and will be starting in the same daycare/preschool in a few months when he turns 2. All in all I think its personal choice and you should do what feels right for you. Good luck! :)

I had to go back to work when my son 6 weeks. You do what you need to do for finaces and sanity. I have found being a working mom makes me a better mom because I so miss my son when I am at work that when I have time with him, I do every thing better.

I started back working when my daughter was about that age. So I don't believe it is to early. The thing I would recommend is to check out a few daycares before putting her in one so when you are at work you will have the piece of mind that she is being well taken care of.
