Getting Out in the Morning: Need Advice

Hello, I am the mother of a 5 month old baby boy. What used to take me 45-60 minutes to get out of the house in the morning and get to work, now takes about three hours. I have to pump, feed and change my son, take him to daycare, and then get to work. We haven't even started solids yet! By the time I get to work, I am exhausted and the work day hasn't even started. I try to prepare as much as I can the night before, but I don't feel like I am making any progress. Any suggestions as to help get my day started a little quicker? Does the fatigue ever get better?

oh my! you are def. not alone (if that helps any). It takes me about 2 hours to get out the door. I do not breastfeed but I do have to feed Connor his cereal in the morning. What I do is I actually wake up 1/2 hour early shower & change (no time for makeup and hair goes into a ponytail). by the time i'm done he is awake I change him and we go downstairs. He goes into his highchair and I feed him his cereal. After he is done I let him either play in the playard or sometimes he likes to sit and play in the high chair I make his milk and pack his diaper bag. I start this morning process @ 5:30am and we are out the door no later then 7:15am. I also have a train to catch to get to work so the latest train is 8:02am. Between 7:00am and before 8am I have to get to daycare unpack get him settled in and then make a mad dash for the train.

I feel your pain but i'm hoping that as they get older it gets easier and they are more self sufficient.

At this point I do not eat breakfast until I get to work and I don't look or feel my best.

I hope this has been of some help to you.

Let me know of what changes you make in your schedule and if it works out better for you.
