We have had the same routine for the last 6 years, but somehow it is still a fight in the morning to get everyone ready and out the door. Does it ever get any easier? What am I doing wrong?

Well debbie has the right idea I have to deal with the same thing so I get my kids things ready the night before I pack snacks and any toys they my want to take also I get up 30mins before I get them up so I'm ready to deal with the madness of getting them up and I put them to bed early like 7:30 or 8:00pm.hope this helps.

Hi Whitney.  Are there things that you can plan and do in advance?  For example, we found a lot of time went into deciding what we wanted for breakfast every morning.  So I created menus and on Sunday afternoon, our child would make selections for the entire week.  We know right away what to prepare and he knows that whatever he selected is what he has on that particular day.  I pack his backpack the night before, making sure all papers are signed and everything is in place.  We use the same menu plan for his lunch box each day and things that can be packed the night before -- veggie sticks, etc -- are bagged up and placed in the frig.  We make clothing decisions and put those out on the bench so they are easy to find when he's half asleep in the morning.  The last thing I do at night is make sure that shoes, jackets, etc are in their place so we can put our hands on them in the morning.  Hope this helps.
