Many times I feel guilty because I don't have enough time with my kids since I work outside the home. By the time I get home in the evening I barely have time to check homework and get the kids ready for bed. Anyone feeling the same? How have you been able to work it out?

Thanks for the encouragement. I now feel that I am not alone. I will try to organize my time better and I agree that I will need an energy boost when I come home if I'm going to be of much use to them as well as take care of the home in the evening.

I can relate to what your going through. I work full-time and shift work to make it worse. My husband works long hours also. We work opposite weekends so it make it hard to do family activities, so in a way it's like being a single parent at times. We try our best to spend whatever time we have with the kids and I know it's hard on them and I feel somedays I'm missing out on their childhood but financially there is no choice. I'm lucky to have my mom who babysits for me so at least the kids have family around them at all times. We try to stay organized and have some sort of a routine and talk during meal times, in the car or while having a bath. With 3 boys they have different needs so we try to give them each individual time like doing dishes/ set the table, baking, reading a book or outdoor things. And don't forget alot of coffee for you, not the kids, lol, because face it it's not easy being a parent and working at the same time. Your kids will love you no matter how much time you can spend with them as long as you take time for them and make them feel loved and special.

I have the same problem as you, what I do is in the evening when I have collected we talk in the car on the way home. I try to spend as much time a possible with them on the weekends.
