let the small stuff go, otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy. I also spread out the laundry tasks; throw a load in the washer on my way to work, put it in the dryer when i get home and then fold when my son is in bed. I've also gotten my son to "help" (he's only 3). He clears his place after dinner and empties the silverware, finding matches. He puts his dirty clothes in the hamper and we're working on pairing his socks. Each of these chores allows me to be doing things while supervising him and sets the stage for him to take responsibilities. I also tell him I can play with him after my chores are done, so he's very interested in helping me get them done quickly.

The other option - hire a "wife" to do errands, chores, cleaning, kid carpooling. Or start a babysitting coop to find some downtime and/or catch up.

I spread out my "tasks" over the week. I do 1 load of laundry a day to spread that out. I cook and my kids and husband help me clean up. I have a maid 2 times a month to do all the heavy cleaning. I run errands at lunch or on my way to or from work. Bed time is 8:00. I may fold clothes while watching a recorded show or go to bed early myself. I don't try to be super mom, spending time with my family and helping with homework takes priority over "chores", it can wait my kids are growing up! I take tme to be with my friends once or twice a month and I treat myself to manis/pedis or massages often. I am very organized with my time and keep a calendar. I try to schedule time to do nothing and rest. Good luck, you can have it all!! I have 2 jobs, volunteer, play tennis, professional organizations (president of one), in 2 Bunco groups and go to church. Good luck!
