Don't force this issue with your child....I know it is frustrating but if you have a stubborn child (as I do) and you try to force this you could end up with more medical problems (kidney infections, constipation, etc) than you expected.

Go commando on your baby girl ...You have to do this for 2 days straight without diapers or pull ups .. Just ever 2 hours take her to the bathroom leave her without if she goes on her self you just point it out and change her eventually she will feel uncomfortable enough she will want to go to the bath room .. It helps if she goes to the bathroom with you as well try taking a trip to the toilet every hour on the hour... ask her too .. before she takes a bath take her to the toilet ask her if she needs to pp.. This also works for the boys if you have any.. This is what I have donw for my 5 children... It worked.. By 2 years of age they were all potty trained without Pull-ups. Good Luck MOM. =)

Oh and it has to be done in 2 days straight.

I would suggest letting the issue be and not push it...kiddos are smart, they will tell you or show you when they are ready. With my first, I was so anal, I had to get him potty trained and out of took me a year before he was trained and lots of frustration for both of us. My second, I took the approach of "she will let me know when she is ready", sure enough, she was 2 1/2 and I was changing her diapers and she said "no more diaper...I want panties", she has literally been trained and night...the # of accidents she has had is maybe 4!!

I completely agree with Mary and Emily. This is a developmental issue and if she isn't ready, she isn't ready. Don't fight it, just wait until she shows some interest.

If she doesn't want to why force her? It will create a power struggle. Just make her realize the potty is a good and normal thing and follow her cues as she gets older.

Then leave her alone and when she is ready, she will let you know, just let her come in the bathroom with you when you go and talk to her. Show her there is nothing to be afraid of and that she will be a big girl if she uses it

worked for me 3 times!

put her in big girl undies and plactic and if she wets make her sit in it for a few mins and then clean her up and tell her next time she feels like that she needs to go to the potty. that is what i did with my oldest. my sister inlaw also bribbed her daughter. had one day where they put the potty chair in the front room and she gave she lots to frink and every time she went potty she got a treat.( stickers, candy, snack, something she wouldn't normal get)
