I weaned my son at 1year old too, and we tried everything from stopping a feeding per day to trying milk and other forms of bottles. In the end, I just had to stop cold turkey. My son cried for about a week, and he wouldn't drink cow's milk for 2 weeks afterward, but it worked. Now he drinks regular milk and loves it. It's just hard to go through the first two weeks, but I believe it made my son a little stronger learning that he can't have everything he wants all the time. I recommend the weaning during a light work week, as I didn't get much sleep during this period. Good luck!

when she's ready she'll stop. Sometimes it's really a comfort thing, she just wants to be close to you...

The least painful way for you is stop one feeding a week or day depending on quickly you want to ween him. I breast fed my daughter until she was 18 months, but at a year I got her down enough I didn't have to pump at work anymore. It will be easiest if you are both ready.

If she has never had a bottle, I'd start with a sippy cup. She should be able to hold one now. I'd start with putting your breastmilk in a sippy cup and see how she does. Then just slowly give her less breastmilk and more of whatever it is you want her to have instead. If she has had a bottle, then just give bottles with breastmilk and no more breastfeeding. Again, gradually change the breastmilk to whatever it is you want to use instead.
