my husband and i have a blended family...three non-custodial parents are not paying support and my husband has gladly taken the role of sole provider for all of us...of course, our youngest is ours together so he is not included in this:) but i just found out one of the parents owes $21,801.68 in arrears, who knows how much the other owes and the non custodial mother of our oldest daughter can't be turned in because she is on welfare!!!! UGH....I thought there were dead beat laws!!!!

yes jill....unfortunately we are dealing with a "dodger" lol i get letters once they find him to garnish and it tells me how much i should expect....then it never shows up because he quits the job....oh well....i just seen everyone else venting so i decided to myself:) LOL:) i have a wonderful husband and ever since the children were very small we have both just been mom and dad....the other parents are missing more than just the financial aspect....they are not enjoying these awesome kids we have!!!!

There are dead beat laws but unfortuntely if you want the parents to start paying than you need to take them back to court to show they are making money and then the money can b taken directly out of their paychecks, given to the state, than the state give to you. The problem is than any dead beat out there knows how to cheat the system by either quitting that job or finding one that pays under the table so it looks to the court like they have no income. Also, each time you send them to court that is YOUR money you are paying to the courts. Sucks, i know. My friend deals with the same problem and i feel your pain.
